Getting into medical school requires an elite GPA:

  • MD Programs: The average accepted GPA is roughly 3.75 overall, with a 3.65 Science (BCPM) GPA.
  • DO Programs: The average accepted GPA is slightly lower, around a 3.60 overall.

    • If your GPA is below a 3.4, you will likely need to complete a post-bacc or Special Master's Program (SMP) to prove you can handle the rigorous science curriculum.
